Folsom Closing Lanes To Create Drought-Tolerant Medians
FOLSOM (CBS13) — Work started on Monday on a project the city of Folsom says could cut its water use by 1 million gallons a year.
The city is installing drought-tolerant shrubs and bark while changing its irrigation system to cut back on water usage.
The work on the 62,000 feet of medians means road closures between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- June 8-16: Iron Point Road between Folsom Boulevard and Black Diamond Drive.
- June 17-24: Natoma Station Drive between Blue Ravine Road and Turn Pike Drive.
- June 25 to July 3: Iron Point Road between Prairie City Road and Grover Road.
