Firefighters battle large grass fire in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO – Firefighters responded to a large grass fire off of Interstate 5 in Sacramento on Tuesday.
The fire was burning near Del Paso Road and PV Scholars Lane. It was caused by a vehicle and spread to a nearby field, the Sacramento Fire Department said.
Sacramento Fire says structures were threatened by the fire but none were damaged.
A man-made lake in the area was in the direct path of the fire but acted as a barrier while crews were able to get a handle on it.
