Escalon man, 41, dies in Central Valley motorcycle crash
OAKDALE – A motorcycle rider from Escalon died after a crash in Oakdale over the weekend, authorities say.
California Highway Patrol says, just before noon Sunday, officers responded near Orange Blossom Road and Orange Blossom Court to investigate reports of a crash.
First responders found that a motorcyclist had crashed. It appears the rider was heading east on Orange Blossom Road when it went off the edge and hit a raised curb at a bend in the road.
The motorcycle then crashed into a fence – ejecting the rider, officers say.
Medics took the rider to the hospital, but CHP says he later died.
The name of the rider has not been released, but he's been identified by CHP as a 41-year-old Escalon resident.
