Discarded Fireworks Spark Fire Inside Garbage Truck
CARMICHAEL (CBS13) – Fireworks tossed in the trash caused a garbage truck to catch fire early Thursday morning.
The truck driver was passing through Carmichael when he noticed smoke coming from the back of the truck.
The driver stopped the truck in the middle of the street and called for help.
Police officers shut down the intersection of El Camino and Garfield as crews put out the fire and used a tractor to clean up all the charred trash.
No one was hurt in the fire.
