THE DEFENSE
Q: How long have you had this truck and where did you get it?
A: Six years. We got it at, I think, Folsom Lake. Yeah, the dealership at Folsom Lake.
Q: How long has it been outfitted with the Flaming Grill stuff?
A: I would say probably about two years at least, if not more.
Q: What do you do at the Flaming Grill Café?
A: Cook and I'm the owner, so I do purchasing and everything else.
Q: Did you start the restaurant? If so, when?
A: Yeah. Since 2007, October.
Q: Where did you get the idea for serving the exotic meats?
A: It started as a café. We did lattes and pastries and all that and that didn't work out. So we switched it up to burgers and one thing led to another. We started getting all kinds of exotic meats and that caught on, so we kept it.
Q: So your ride's main use is work?
A: Work, business, and commuting back and forth.
Q: Ever take it on any road trips or vacations? What's the farthest you've ever taken it?
A: Ensenada! We vacationed. Went out to the ocean and relaxed for a couple of days.
Q: Who did you go with?
A: My kids.
Q: How long did it take you to get there?
A: I'd say about 15-16 hours.
Q: Last questions, back to the truck, what are you most proud of about it?
A: Hmmm, I'd say, the attention it gets!
