Cool, Breezy Temperatures To Usher In Summer
It was a sunny and warm end to the weekend for most of Northern California.
Sacramento saw highs in the low 90s Sunday, but will shave off a good six degrees for Monday as highs will hover in the mid 80s. Meanwhile, the foothills and mountains will be in the low 80s and upper 70s.
Breezy conditions will be found in the valley, with sustained winds at 15 to 20 miles per hour.
The storm system that will kick up our winds Monday will drop temperatures even more for Tuesday. Sacramento's high will barely scrape the 80-degree mark. The storm won't bring a lot of moisture with it though. If there is any rain, it will be far to the north near Chico, Redding and Shasta Lake on Tuesday and Wednesday. Winds will hang on early Wednesday, but will calm in the afternoon.
The end of the week will mean continued sunshine and warmer temperatures. By next weekend, valley temperatures will climb back up to the mid 90s.
The first full day of summer is this Friday.
