Company Withdraws Plan To Build Controversial Psychiatric Hospital In Rocklin
ROCKLIN (CBS13) — A hospital group has withdrawn its plans to build a proposed behavioral health hospital, CBS13 has learned.
The 58,000-square-foot psychiatric hospital at West Ranch Drive and University Avenue would hold 102 beds, be locked and fenced off with security cameras and 24-hour security.
Opponents told CBS13 they didn't deny the need for mental health facilities, as it would be the only such facility in Placer County, but the location was a big issue.
