Closing Arguments Begin In New Year's Murder Case
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Closing arguments in the trial for a man accused of strangling a Rancho Cordova woman to death have begun.
Demetrius Shaffer is accused of murdering 37-year-old Rajeet Singh on New Year's Day last year.
Witnesses say they saw Shaffer with Singh at a poker room just hours before her body was discovered in Rancho Cordova.
Investigators say DNA evidence connect him to the killing.
