CHP Releases Vehicle Description In Winding Way Fatal Hit-And-Run

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The California Highway Patrol has released vehicle information on a hit-and-run suspect who killed a Sacramento man last week.

Paul Pellandini, 57, was walking out his friend William Collins, 54, at Pellandini's residence on Winding Way just west of Carnegie Way when both were hit on March 22. The men were both thrown into the air and came to rest on the right shoulder. Pellandini was pronounced dead at the scene. Collins was hospitalized with major injuries.

The CHP says the vehicle in this collision has been identified as a 1997-98 white Ford Expedition. The Expedition should have a broken right headlight, broken right side mirror, and a broken windshield.

Anyone with information on the accident is asked to call the CHP's Special Investigations Unit at (916) 338-6710, Crime Alert at 443-HELP or send a text message tip to 274637 then enter SACTIP followed by the tip information.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
