Cameron Park Family In Vehicle Narrowly Avoids Tree Crashing Into Their Driveway

CAMERON PARK (CBS13) — A family in Cameron Park escaped danger as a tree crashed behind their car.

The family was getting ready to leave their home on Sandpiper Way when one of the children said to stop because they heard a noise. That noise was a large tree from their neighbor's yard crashing down behind their car.

The two children and their parents escaped uninjured as the large tree crashed behind them.

Neighbor Darrio Bianco said heavy rain and hail the size of marbles dropped from the sky for 10 minutes, then began to let up, and the sun was even shining. Then something changed.

"The tree started swirling around like a blender," he said.

He says the tornado then moved through a backyard.
