It's Sunday night and you find yourself desperately clinging to the weekend for dear life. Looking to squeeze every ounce of fun out of your last evening before the work week resets, you need one more night; one more outing; one more happy hour. But where do you go? Most places close early or aren't even open, right? Wrong! There's a few places you'll find with awesome drink specials and later hours so you can pretend that stack of papers on your desk isn't actually waiting for you in 12 hours.

Considered a dive bar to some, O'Malley's Irish Pub offers a decent selection of beer and tasty food selections. The Irish pub holds a pool table and jukebox too. One of the nice things about O'Malley's on a Sunday is the surroundings. Take in Old Sacramento before the sun goes down; there's plenty to do all within walking distance and a lot less auto and foot traffic. When you're done, stop by the pub for cheap drinks. Parking, which can be a nightmare on the weekends, is less of a struggle toward the end of the weekend. O'Malley's is the place to go for good-priced drinks, $3 domestics and $4.50 well drinks, on one last night to unwind before work, with a nice, themed touch.

Hang out indoors or on good weather nights relax outside in the large, heated patio. The daily drink special runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and includes well drinks and Budweiser's for only $2. The casual establishment also homes Cafe Bernardo for added food options. Hit up Cafe Bernardo for pancakes at brunch then come back for French fries at night. The relaxing setting is perfect for catching up on the weekend's events and capping off (or starting) the week. Top notch food, good drinks, and excellent location; Monkey Bar is a great pick for a Sunday night spot.

Hosting a daily happy hour of 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. already, PF Chang opens up drink specials again between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. During these times appetizers start at $3 and you can get $2 PBR, $4 well drinks, $5 glasses of wine, and $6 specialty cocktails. Chang's invites guests to build their own wine, supplying customers with three flavors of choice to mix for a unique taste and experience. For beer and wine, PF Chang's partners with many local providers to best satisfy the regional taste. Of course if you want a true experience, you have to try the saké. Enjoy the night in the patio of if your Sunday event needs more space, a private upstairs area awaits. You probably won't need it on a Sunday night but valet is available as well.

Afterwards feast on salad, sandwiches, and delicious appetizers like nachos, fries, and quesadillas. Whole cakes are available but if there's not quite enough room left in the tank, definitely try the S'mores Cheesecake or the Peach Cobbler. Drink specials run daily from 3-7 p.m. while appetizers cost just $6 during the same time during the week. Checking Capitol Garage's online calendar of events may yield additional specials. Most Sundays feature Industry Night for individuals who missed on Friday or Saturday night. Sundays also host Karaoke Night from 9 p.m. to close. From now through December, drink specials are offered all night on Sundays.

The Torch Club is one of Sacramento's oldest bars, opening over 50 years ago. The renowned blues club features local and national artists from the genre six days a week. It's not about the food and drink here, it's about prepping for Monday with the soothing sounds of music. Although, while you're there, you might as well take advantage of $2 PBRs, $3 domestics, and $4 draft beers until 8 p.m. They might even let you cap off the night in your pajamas, though you might want to call ahead and check on that first.
