Coit Tower, the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf. These attractions are known worldwide. In Sacramento, you are only a few hours' drive away from taking them all in. There's nothing quite like the City by the Bay. You can expect the fresh, crisp ocean breeze to find you for at least some of your visit. Smell the seafood offerings along the Embarcadero, enjoy an Italian meal in North Beach, grab some coffee in one of the many quaint cafes, or even check out picturesque AT&T Park, where you can watch the world-champion San Francisco Giants play baseball. There's no place like San Francisco.
Home to the world-famous boardwalk, Santa Cruz is a beach town with something for the entire family to enjoy. If its thrills and old-fashioned fun that you desire, make sure you visit the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, home of the legendary Giant Dipper roller-coaster ride. You can find lots of great seafood here, too, either along the pier, at the harbor, or in the adjacent strip at Capitola Beach. If you are looking for a great day at the beach – in or out of the water – take the family to Santa Cruz. Its also a great destination for romantic getaways!
Further down the coastline is the majestic Monterey Bay. You won't want to miss Cannery Row, home to wonderful shops and more. The incredible Monterey Bay Aquarium is right down the block as well. Words can't describe the experience of watching the colorful sea life undulating right before your eyes. You can also spend the day just relaxing along the white sandy beaches. When it comes to seafood, Monterey has got that, too. Make sure you plan to enjoy a meal while you watch the sunset over the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
You've heard of the wine country of California? Its heart is right here in beautiful Napa Valley. World-class wineries dot this lush landscape of rolling hills. You can tour many of them, where you will hear directly from the experts who make these world-famous wines. Plan to spend the day taking it all in – the views, the wine tasting, and of course, the fine dining in Napa Valley.
