Sacramento Sheriff's Deputies Shoot And Kill Suspect
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A man suspected of shooting at cars and threatening drivers was shot and killed overnight two Sacramento sheriff's deputies.
It happened just after midnight on Pomegranate Avenue near Stockton Boulevard.
That's where deputies responded to several reports of a man pointing a gun at drivers and shooting out car windows. One caller reported the man was holding a woman hostage.
They found the suspect and tried to talk him into dropping the gun but two officers shot him when he refused.
The suspect was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The officers involved in the shooting will be placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
