3 Arrested For Gas Station Robberies
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Three men have been arrested for robberies at two Sacramento gas stations Sunday morning.
The Sacramento Police Department said a female employee was robbed at gunpoint by two men as she was getting ready to open a Shell gas station on West El Camino Avenue.
The suspects were described as two male blacks who fled in a green pickup truck, according to Officer Laura Peck.
Police received reports of a second robbery just a short time later in front of a gas station in midtown Sacramento, and responding officers pulled over a nearby green truck containing three men.
Investigators found a wallet, cell phones and bullets matching the description of the property stolen in the alleged thefts.
Authorities are looking into the possibility that the three men are linked to other recent crimes at gas stations this weekend.
