2 Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On Interstate 80
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Two people were killed in a crash involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 80 on Tuesday.
The crash happened just after 10 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 80 just east of the Northgate Boulevard exit.
All the eastbound lanes have been shut down.
The California Highway Patrol reports a woman sideswiped one vehicle while traveling the wrong way near the Raley Boulevard exit and continued westbound before colliding with another vehicle.
The woman and the male driver of the other vehicle were killed. No other passengers were in either vehicle.
Though it was raining much of the day on Tuesday, there was no rain in the area at the time of the accident.
