In 2006, Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman helped launch Cancer Research UK's campaign for breast cancer awareness month. Cate Blanchett, who also lent her name to the Cancer Research UK cause, will star in the 2008 big screen adaptation of "Cancer Vixen: A True Story." The film is based on the graphic memoir by Marisa Acocella Marchetto, a cartoonist for Glamour and The New Yorker who was diagnosed with breast cancer as her career had taken off and as she was planning her wedding.
