Arizona Office Shooting
Arthur Harmon, seen above, was in the middle of a civil dispute stemming from some work he was hired to do for a Scottsdale, Ariz. based company called Fusion Contact Centers LLC when he allegedly shot three people at an office building on Jan. 30, 2013. Two of the victims in the shooting were Fusion CEO Steve Singer, 48, and his attorney Mark Hummels, 43. Singer died at the hospital shortly after the shooting and Hummels was declared brain dead and taken off life support a few days after the shooting. Nichole Hampton, a 32-year-old woman, was also wounded in the attack. The alleged gunman, 70-year-old Arthur Harmon, was found dead in a Mesa, Ariz. parking lot after the shooting. Police believe he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Atlanta School Shooting
A 15-year-old student at Price Middle School in Atlanta, Ga. opened fire at the school on Jan. 31, 2013 and wounded Telvis Douglas, 14, seen above, before an armed officer working at the school was able to get the gun away, police said. Douglas was released from the hospital later that night. Atlanta Police Chief George Turner, Mayor Kasim Reed and school officials later confirmed that the shooting stemmed from an argument between two gangs, CBS Atlanta reported.

Mardi Gras Shooting
New Orleans arrested three men in connection with a shooting on Bourbon Street, in New Orleans, on Feb. 9, 2013, three days before Mardi Gras. The shooting injured four people, one seriously. Malcolm Hall, 19, Brandon Brown, 22, and Deron Bridgewater, 23, were all charged with four counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Christopher Dorner Manhunt
Christopher Dorner, a former LAPD officer suspected of killing four people, died after a shootout and fire on Feb. 12, 2013 at a mountain cabin in Calif. following one of the biggest manhunts in recent memory. Dorner posted a "manifesto" explaining that his actions were part of a revenge-driven against the LAPD. He claimed he had been the victim of racism and unfair treatment while employed by the department. Prior to the standoff that led to Dorner's death on Feb. 12, 2013, he was already believed to have killed three people, one being a police officer. During the standoff he allegedly shot and killed another officer.
Los Angeles Freeway Shooting
In Los Angeles, Calif., on the morning of Feb. 19, 2013, 20-year-old Ali Syed allegedly killed a woman in the home he shared with his parents, killed two drivers during carjackings and injured two others. He also shot up cars on a busy freeway interchange before committing suicide as police closed in, authorities said. Syed, an unemployed part-time community college student, had no known motive and acted alone, according to Tustin, Calif. police Chief Scott Jordan.

Las Vegas Movie Theater Shooting
Police in Las Vegas arrested 18-year-old Devante Jeffers (left) in connection with a shooting outside a movie theater in Las Vegas on Feb. 6, 2013. Ariya Manoi, 21, right, is wanted on felony warrants in connection with the shooting, police said, including three counts of attempted murder. The shooting critically injured two men and left another with less serious injuries. Jeffers is facing several charges, including attempted murder, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell.

Las Vegas Strip Shooting
A deadly car-to-car shooting in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip took place on Feb. 21, 2013. Police believe it was prompted by an earlier altercation at a hotel. Someone in a black Range Rover reportedly opened fire on a Maserati at a stoplight, sending it into a taxi that burst into flames, leaving three people dead and at least six injured.
South Carolina Courthouse Shooting
Curtis Gorny, center, was involved in a paternity dispute when he opened fire on Feb. 13, 2013 in front of a South Carolina courthouse, wounding a 21-year-old woman and her stepfather. Gorny, who is in his 50s, then led police on a 12-mile chase before he was caught, a sheriff said.
Delaware Courthouse Shooting
Thomas Matusiewicz, 68, allegedly killed his former daughter-in-law, Christine Belford and her friend, Laura Mulford, at the New Castle County Courthouse in Dover, Del. before taking his own life. The shooting took place on Feb. 11, 2013 after Belford appeared for a hearing in her lawsuit against the Matusiewicz family. Belford and her ex-spouse, David Matusiewicz, were due in court for a child support hearing following a long, bitter custody battle, according to CBS Philly.

Navy SEAL shooting
Iraq War veteran Eddie Ray Routh, seen above, was charged in the murders of former Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle and friend, Chad Littlefield. Authorities say Routh, 25, turned a gun on Kyle, who wrote the best-selling book "American Sniper," and Littlefield at Rough Creek Lodge, a Texas shooting range about 50 miles southwest of Fort Worth on Feb. 2, 2013. The Associated Press reported that Kyle, 38, and Littlefield, 35, had taken Routh to the range to try to help him work through his PTSD. It is unclear what Routh's motive was for the murders.
