A Koch Industries spokesman told CBS Affiliate KWCH that the Koch Brothers - billionaires who have funded conservative protest movements - have no financial interest in the pipeline project.
Yvonne Cather of the Kansas chapter of the Sierra Club told KWCH that Koch has a history of being anti-environment, including denying climate change, and had funded groups that push its agenda.
