Man arrested in ricin case says he was framed

Paul Kevin Curtis, 45, was released from a north Mississippi jail on April 23, 2013, nearly a week after authorities charged him with sending ricin-laced letters to the president, a Mississippi senator and a county judge. Authorities did not say why the charges were dropped, but another man's home was searched and Curtis said he was framed, and had a hunch he knew who did it.

At the time of his arrest, Ricky Curtis, who said he was Paul Kevin Curtis' cousin, said the family was shocked. He described his cousin as a "super entertainer" who impersonated Elvis and numerous other singers. A YouTube channel under the name of Kevin Curtis has dozens of videos of him performing as different famous musicians, including Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and Kid Rock. Curtis said after he was released from custody, "I thought they said rice and I said, 'I don't even eat rice.' ... I respect President Obama. I love my country and would never do anything to pose a threat to him or any other U.S. official."
