Latin "Idol" winner charged with alleged drug smuggling

Martha Heredia, seen in an April 29, 2010 photo, was arrested late Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 and charged with drug smuggling after police found heroin stuffed in the heels of her platform shoes as she was about to board a plan to New York at the Cibao International airport in Santiago, Dominican Republic, according to National Drug Control Agency Director Frank Duran. Heredia, of the Dominican Republic, was a winner of the TV talent show "Latin American Idol."
