Happy Father's Day - your photos
Rob Daniels of Greensboro, N.C., wrote of his submission, "This captures the father-son interaction that my brother (left) and our dad loved most. He would read us stories but change the words every so often for comic value."
"His impromptu humor, change of vocal inflection and timing were priceless. They showed that the tradition of reading to the kids was not a matter of parental obligation; it was a time of pure joy and thoughtful playtime. They proved his love of language and of his sons."

"Every summer we took off on a three-month adventure. With my Mom, my sisters, the dogs, a converted Ford Bronco and a 17-foot trailer, we traveled from Minnesota to Alaska one year, Minnesota to Maine the next. We had less than $1000 in cash and each other."
"On our trip to Alaska, somewhere in the Yukon Territory, in the middle of nowhere, we had a breakdown. Two flat tires and one spare. There was no one around except us. It took Dad three days, using only a picnic table, a tire iron and a bottle of dish soap, but somehow, he got both tires re-inflated and got us back on the road."
"From my Dad, I learned resilience, integrity, loyalty, the power of conversation and how laughter and resourcefulness can solve just about any problem. My dad died two years ago this August and I miss him every day. He had a bright smile and an easy laugh and he inspires me to be who I am today."

"I offer this story and some advice for the reader. It's never too late to have that conversation with some loved one you may have separated from. When my dad died, he died knowing that we both loved each other very much. "
"As of last Sunday, we all got to hear dad singing "Found Love" on Mad Men (Season 6, Episode 10: "A Tale of Two Cities")! Of course, dad still plays the guitar and sings, and even sang at my wedding, but it has been really fun for our family to hear his voice and his song playing on TV 46 years later."
"It was the first trophy my dad and I won together at a car show. Every year for 25 years, my family attends the local car show in Sheridan, Wyoming. This has grown to be such a tradition that over the years, no matter how far everyone lives from our hometown, it is an unspoken rule that we all meet up and attend the car show."
