For the Consumer Reports annual auto issue, the magazine asked subscribers several questions concerning whether they would buy their vehicle again. Among the more than 250,000 responses, those receiving a score of 80 percent or higher were deemed the "most satisfying." For the first time, a gasoline-electric hybrid, the Toyota Prius, scored highest overall, with a positive ranking of 94 percent. Only one U.S.-made car, the Chevrolet Corvette, made the list. In each of the following categories, the top cars are listed in order of how they fared.
