The ceremony involved combining dirt from the town of Clarksdale in the Mississippi Delta with dirt from Bethel, N.Y., from the site of the Woodstock Festival and mud from Santana's hometown of Autlan de Navarro, Jalisco, in Mexico to symbolize his two-year residency at the music venue.
