Tarun Tahiliani, New Delhi

Tarun Tahiliani is determined to go global with his line of gowns in richly draped fabrics. "Even though you all are in T-shirts, it's been the main thing men and women have done for centuries in this country," he says. "That's how Indians dress. They drape fabric, whether they are poor or rich. For me, it's such a powerful look that I can never get away from it."
