Tips for new runners: Start slowly. Set small goals and slowly increase distance -- no more than 10 percent a week. Hydrate!
Why he runs: I started running when I was in the Marines. After I got out, I stopped exercising for a long time. After my daughter was born I wanted to get back into shape, so I started running again.
