Tips for new runners: Start slow, be patient and enjoy the journey.
Why she runs: I always thought it would be fun to run a 5k, but as I have been challenged by MS and Lyme, it was hard to be consistently healthy long enough to train for it. Last August I was healthy enough to start. After months of training I completed my first 5K in October 2015. I am able to relax, meditate and feel strong when I run.
