Blog: Snowfall Continuing Overnight
By Kathy Orr
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The snow will continue through the early morning hours, with areas of locally heavier snow. Most of the Philadelphia area is in a 2-4" range of snow, with Philly around 2". We expect less snow south & east, with winds gusting 35 mph.
3-6 inches of snow will fall in the Lehigh Valley, Bucks County in PA, and Mercer County in NJ. The highest amount will be 6" in the Poconos with a low of 28 degrees.
We are left with a blustery Saturday as skies clear with a high of 35. Once the sun comes out Saturday it may seem brighter than normal. That's because snow has a high reflectivity or "Albedo". Winds gusting the 35 mph will blow some snow around. Wind chills will be in the 20's.
Sunday looks like a more comfortable day with less wind and sunny skies. The high, 38. A much milder pattern will work its way into next week - Monday we'll have showers, the High: 48. Tuesday will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 40's again!
Have a great weekend!
