Below Average Temperatures
By Justin Drabick
It's colder than average temperatures, something we haven't talked about much all winter long. An upper-level jet stream trough has positioned itself over the mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
This will allow a pocked of cold air to settle into the Delaware Valley from Canada tonight through Tuesday. Temperatures will not be terribly cold but around 5 degrees below the average. Low temperatures will drop into the low 30s and 20s tonight and widespread 20s Monday night.
High temperatures will struggle to make it into the mid 40s both on Monday and Tuesday. Our average high for Philadelphia this time of year is 49 degrees. Every cold blast that happened this winter has been short lived. This one will be no different with high temperatures surging back above average on Wednesday.
