PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The memory is not one that fades easy and perhaps it should not fade, but for some the events of September 11 are etched in their minds—as clear today as more than decade ago.

For many it is also a source of continued stress –the dramatic events lend themselves to post traumatic stress and there are addition health issues that have resulted from exposure to contaminants.

There is also another group that are impacted. Not just people who were in New York City on that fateful day but those who witnessed it live on television.

The events of September 11 were broadcast nationally and serve as one of the first instances were information was not only seen real time but with an immediacy and closeness despite being hundreds or thousands of miles away.

There is an important medical point. If you feel that you still have lingering effects don't hesitate to seek medical help. It can be a major help.
