Yoga Bag For Charity
The Pink for a Week series concludes with a bang!
One hundred and fifty audience members are getting a pink ribbon yoga bag donated by New Balance.
If you were not on the plaza, kick off your weekend and support a good cause. Proceeds from the sale of the bag benefit The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
New Balance has been associated with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race For the Cure Series since 1989 and has been a National Series Sponsor since 1991.
The bag is just one of the many items supporting the foundation. You may also get Lace Up For The Cure sneakers, hats, T-shirts, jackets, pants and shorts.
For every $25 minimum purchase of any pink ribbon merchandise, you will receive a donation form to send in to New Balance as proof of purchase. For each form received, New Balance will donate $5 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation up to $150,000. This retail promotion runs from May through November 2005.
The Komen Foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died from breast cancer at the age of 36.
In 1983, the first Komen Race for the Cure was held in Dallas, Texas, with 800 participants. Today, the Komen Race for the Cure Series is the largest series of 5K runs/walks in the world.
