"Work It" gets pulled from ABC

(CBS) The series "Work It" just didn't work out for ABC. The network has decided to scrap the controversial cross-dressing comedy after just two episodes.

The show, which has been blasted by critics and transgender activists, aired on Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. Repeats of Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing'' will take its place for the time being.

According to EW.com, ratings were low for "Work It" - it opened to a 2.0 rating in the adult demo during its first week, then fell 20 percent the following week.
