LONDON (CBS/AP) Is there an extra charge to carry-on a corpse?  Police  arrested two women at a British airport after they reportedly tried to pull a "Weekend at Bernie's" and bring a dead body onto a flight.

In their defense, they did apparently put sunglasses on the deceased, a 91-year-old man.

British media reported Tuesday that the women allegedly placed the body of Curt Willi Jarant into a wheelchair and covered his face with sunglasses in a bid to get him aboard a flight to Berlin from Liverpool's John Lennon Airport.

The two women - his widow, 66, and step-daughter, 41 - allegedly said that they thought he was asleep.

Police said the women were detained at the airport "on suspicion of failing to give notification of death."

The women, reportedly German nationals who live in Oldham, were detained Saturday and have been released on bail.  They have not been charged and police say inquiries are continuing.
