(CBS/AP) FERNDALE, Wash. - Loewen B. Craft, 59, was arrested while disguised as her dead mother, allegedly trying to open a bank account in her mother's name, according to police.

Craft has fraudulently collected more than $145,000 in pension benefits since her mother, Betty Becker, died in 2007, say police in Ferndale, Wash.

Craft was wearing a gray wig and makeup to make herself appear older when she arrived Wednesday at a credit union branch in Fernadale, police say.

They say Craft's scheme began to unravel when detectives started investigating an unrelated arson case. They soon learned that Becker had been admitted to St. Joseph hospital in 2007 and died on April 23, 2007.

Her daughter, Craft, was arrested on multiple counts of forgery for investigation.
