Woman crashes van into Fla. convenience store, asks for cigarettes

(CBS/WTVJ) WESTON, Fla. - A Florida woman crashed her van through the front doors of a gas station convenience store Wednesday morning, and apparently unfazed, got right out to ask the clerk for a pack of cigarettes.

Talk about needing a fix.

Broward County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Veda Coleman told CBS affiliate WTVJ that just after 4:30 a.m.,Tamara Aponte hit the gas instead of the breaks on her minivan, and plowed over the parking curb, and through the doors of the convenience store.

Just after the van came through the glass, the store clerk began to dial 911 - and that's when Aponte got out and asked him for a pack of cigarettes. 

Police say there were no injuries.

The Sun Sentinel reported that the driver was not cited, but the case remains under investigation.
