Woman arrested on her wedding day sprung from Mich. jail

Tammy Lee Hinton's wedding photos included a front and side view for Michigan police who arrested her on a warrant for identity theft, Saturday, July 16, 2011

(CBS/AP) JACKSON, Mich. - Ever since her wedding day, Tammy Lee Hinton must have been feeling like a prisoner.

That's because she spent the next four months behind bars.

Hinton was arrested over the summer on her special day, still wearing a dress and veil. She was wanted on a 2009 warrant that accused her of using her son's identification to get utility service.

Three days later, police arrested Hinton again when she missed a court date, and she hadn't left jail since.

Until now.

Michigan's Jackson County Circuit Judge Thomas Wilson ruled Thursday that Hinton had spent "more than sufficient" time in jail - 122 days - and let her go free.

Still, there's no fairy tale ending.

Her lawyer, Jake Dickerson, tells the Jackson Citizen Patriot that Hinton's husband left her shortly after their July 16 nuptials.

Dickerson says his client is ostracized by her children, homeless and "all alone."
