98-year-old Maryland woman attacked in her home
GOVANS, Md. -- Police are searching for the man who preyed on a 98-year-old woman and assaulted her in her Baltimore County home.
The man claimed he was selling home improvement services, according to CBS Baltimore.
Baltimore County Police found the 98-year-old woman lying on the floor of her house in the 200-block of Gaywood Road in Govans, the station reports.
She told detectives the man knocked on her door Saturday afternoon but she did not immediately let him in. He returned hours later and when she let him enter the house, he threw her to the ground, the station reported.
Police are looking for the assailant. Detectives are reportedly searching for a man in his 40s with weathered-looking, sunburned skin, who is around 5'7″ and 170 pounds. He is also said to have a receding hairline, and was apparently wearing cargo shorts.
