Without Action Firms Will "fold Next Week," Graham Says
John McCain ally Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) just predicted that some businesses in his home state will "fold next week," without action to unfreeze the credit markets.
Graham says he returned home yesterday and talked to a lot of "scared" people -- which offsets the hundreds of nasty phone calls he's getting.
"I've gotten your phone calls," he said, "[But] I have to rely on the good sense God gave me."
Not voting for the measure, he said, means "we're headed for recession, maybe even a depression."
