Win the Day By Arriving Early
Lifehack.org offers six reasons why you should always, always arrive early to meetings. Here's my favorite:
When you're early you can hear the boss complain about the guy who is running late -- at least he's not complaining about you! I've been in many meetings where the boss looks to us and says, "Anyone know where Joe is? He does know that the meeting is right now, doesn't he?"If you're one of those chronically late types, you may find it challenging to follow this advice. So start by following this advice instead. If that doesn't work, try this. While you're at it, give us your own thoughts on why it makes sense to get there early. Personally, I just think it's the courteous thing to do. I hate being kept waiting, so I do my best to be punctual so others aren't waiting on me.
