William Jefferson's Brother In Trouble?

The New York Times reports that Mose Jefferson, older brother of indicted Rep. William Jefferson (D-La.), may be the "political operative" who paid $140,000 in bribes to a New Orleans school official.

Mose Jefferson has not been charged with any wrongdoing, and law-enforcement officials have refused to name the person. But the NYT and local news outlets have reported that Mose Jefferson is the person in question.

Rep. Jefferson's corruption indictment includes numerous references to family members, but no one from the congressman's family (other than him, of course) has been charged in that case.
