Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig are making a Lifetime movie

Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrellare crossing over to dramatic television.

The "Saturday Night Live" alums are involved in a secret Lifetime movie titled "A Deadly Adoption" that is set for an early summer debut, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While at first the news breaking Wednesday seemed like an April Fools' Day joke (because how could something so amazing be so real?!), it is in fact very much happening!

Ferrell and Wiig have been cast as a couple who care for a pregnant woman ("90210" star Jessica Lowndes) in hopes of adopting her child once it's born. Needless to say (and according the title), things become deadly.

But don't expect these two to display their serious side. The trade publication reports that the two-hour flick -- executive produced by Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions -- will be a "wink" at the network's drama genre and in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Lifetime's TV movie empire.

So how awesome can we we expect this very bonkers movie to be when summer hits? Let's not forget when Ferrell and Wiig took the stage for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards and in some ways outdid hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler with their comedic quips.

Wiig -- who also starred alongside Ferrell in the sequel, "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" -- has already put her Lifetime movie skills to work in a "30 Rock" spoof, "A Dog Took My Face and Gave Me a Better Face to Change the World."
