White Nights

A boy fishes on the beach at the Finnish Gulf during an extraordinary "white night" in St. Petersburg.

White nights are a far northern phenomenon when the sun does not completely set at night, providing spectacular light scenes. White nights start in the middle of May and last until the end of July.
