Construction crews are completing work on a long steel and concrete camera platform on the north (Pennsylvania Avenue) side of the White House. The elevated bridge-like structure will allow TV cameras to shoot over anthat obstructs the view of the famous North Portico backdrop.
Of course the platform won't block the construction noise that's become a regular part of White House TV live shots. The government-funded platform is planned as a temporary structure until the months-long utility work is complete.
Until then, things will be "looking up" for TV crews.
