What's On Lindsey Vonn's iPod?
When Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn isn't conquering the slopes, she is rocking out to some serious beats during her workouts.
Vonn has some powerful women like herself on her iPod, performers who dominate in their industry, such as Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga.
Vonn told Women's Health magazine that her playlist includes, "Sweet Dreams," by Beyonce, anything on Tha Carter III, by Lil' Wayne, "Dead and Gone," by T.I., "Empire State of Mind," by Jay-Z and "Poker Face," by Lady Gaga.

While having great music as a soundtrack helps her train, a picturesque backdrop doesn't hurt either.
When she's not skiing on the steep and snowy slopes, she trains on dry-land in the summer.
"So, this year I spent almost six weeks in Austria with my private Red Bull trainers doing my own program. We did six to eight hours a day of training. About half of that was strength - a lot of stability and core, using exercise balls to work on balance and agility training outside with quick moves like stepping through cones and ladders and hurdles," she explained.

Vonn also did three hours a day of biking.
"On nice days, I'd ride up the mountains although it rained a lot, so I'd be on the bike in the gym too," she said. "For fun, I'd play tennis against my trainer."
Strength training is vital if you want to capture the women's downhill skiing title.
"In plank position, my trainer rolls a stability ball toward me and then I have to jump my hands onto the ball, landing in a plank but on top of the ball. It's quick and great for core strength, and it looks kind of cool," she explained.

Every Olympian needs fuel to keep up with the intense workouts.
So what does America's sweetheart eat?
Vonn told Women's Health that she sticks to the good stuff and tries to avoid sweets in general during the season.
She eats "a really healthy carb-based breakfast" to keep up her endurance throughout the day and snacks on fruits and nuts. Also, in the middle of workouts, she has a protein shake."
When the Winter Olympics kicked off, Vonn wasn't sure if she could participate because of a shin injury, but she persevered despite the pain.
