Webb Staying In Senate

The Page is reporting that Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) has told Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) to cross him off the V.P. list. It's always curious when somebody rejects an offer before it comes, and as Halperin notes, "Some keen observers believe Webb was not actually being seriously considered."

So The Crypt would like to take this opportunity to request that Obama -- and, for that matter, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) -- scratch us off their respective lists. Though we are, of course, honored to have been considered. And we totally could have brought D.C.'s three electoral votes into the fold.
