Watch: Kaymer's water-skip hole-in-one at Augusta

(CBS News) It's a tradition unlike any other - the "Skip It" game during a Masters practice round. Here's how it works: Coaxed by fans at Augusta's 16th hole, golfers playfully try to skip a ball across the lake, up a 10-foot bank and onto the green. Just getting the ball across the water and onto the green is a praise-worthy feat.

But on Monday, Martin Kaymer did more than reach the green. Check out the video of Kaymer (the second shot in the clip) expertly skimming the ball across the water, up the bank, onto the green and - after a dramatic roll - into the cup.

The 27-year-old German, who won the 2010 PGA Championship, is currently ranked No. 6 in the world. But he may not want to replicate that amazing shot when it counts this weekend. Vijay Singh pulled it off at the 2009 Masters - and he wound up finishing tied for 30th.
