The green paint was reportedly discovered on an organ in the Bethlehem Chapel inside the National Cathedral as well as the Children's Chapel there, and on a statue of Joseph Henry outside the headquarters of the Smithsonian Institution.
Green paint was also found on the Lincoln Memorial on Friday. It is unclear whether the woman is suspected in all three incidents.
The National Cathedral is closed to the public until further notice.
