Va. woman, 73, charged in connection with series of arsons
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Shirley Ann Vigneau, a 74-year-old Virginia woman, has been charged in connection with a series of arsons in an Alexandria, Va. apartment complex, reports CBS DC.
The Alexandria Fire Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms said Thursday they arrested Vigneau in connection with a series of fires at the Southern Towers apartment complex.
Authorities say Vigneau has confessed to more than two dozen fires at the complex in the last year that caused $50,000 in damage, but no injuries.
The arrest of Vigneau, a resident of the apartment complex, follows a 10-month investigation.
