Vinita Nair is saying goodbye to "World News Now."

The co-anchor announced Thursday that Friday, Feb. 18, would be her last night on the program.

According to Mediabistro, former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker has been named interim successor.

The show paid tribute to Nair in each of its three segments, including appearances from current and former colleagues.

Nair also got to be a soap star during her time at ABC - she appeared on "One Life to Live" as a doctor involved in Natalie's pregnancy storyline. Her episode aired on Jan. 11. You can see a video clip of it here.
