Video: Shooting near San Francisco pride event injures one
SAN FRANCISCO -- One person was injured Saturday evening when shots were fired outside a San Francisco gay pride event, reports CBS San Francisco.
Police said the shooting, which occurred around 6 p.m. outside a so-called "Pink Saturday" celebration, stemmed from an altercation between two groups of teenagers and appeared unrelated to the pride celebration.
However, a vendor associated with the event was injured. The victim is expected to survive.
The incident was caught on cell phone video and shared widely on social media sites, CBS San Francisco reports. In the video, which starts toward the end of a loud argument at the U.N. Plaza in San Francisco, four shots ring out, followed by screams.
Six suspects have been detained. Police have not released their identities.
