Vice President Joe Biden said Tuesday that he's "confident" Hillary Clinton will be the next president.

In an interview with ABC's Robin Roberts set to air Wednesday morning, Biden was asked about the next president.

"I feel confident that Hillary will be the nominee, and I feel confident she'll be the next president," he said.

Biden, like President Obama, has refrained from endorsing in the Democratic primary between Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. But Mr. Obama reportedly told Democratic donors back in March that the time was coming to unite behind Clinton.

The vice president considered launching his own presidential bid, but announced last October that he would not run.
